Lost to Robert Wagner in the first round of the World Pro at Lakeside despite a 3 point better average than the Norwegian.
Reached the Semis at the Zuiderduin Masters losing to eventual winner Darryl Fitton.

Well the World Championships at Lakeside have come and gone. I scored quite heavily with 9 maximums and a match average of 30.85 but a combination of missed doubles and an unfortunate mistake by the caller saw me exit the tournament at the first hurdle, still no excuses as I had plenty of chances to win the match. Thanks to my sponsors, Planet Calypso and Rovadel Darts, I was able to stay for the duration of the tournament, I became the resident pre match warm up opponent for the players that were still seeking the title. Some sweet talk from my manager resulted in me sitting in the BBC commentary box as dart expert for the 2nd round match I should have played in. Robert Wagner and Pecker Woods conspired to give me a commentators baptism of fire by producing an epic battle the outcome of which had to be decided by a tie break leg. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to do it again. Thanks for all the feed back after my match and my commentating, thanks for all the pep talks and encouragement, congratulations to all the players for putting on a great show and congratulations to Martin Adams who beat Dave Chisnall to win the World Crown.
